In 2017 Roxanne found herself at a reservoir-side barbecue, where she met the enthusiastic composer Daniel Blanco Albert. Having casually discovered a mutual love of physics and non naturalistic theatre they decided then and there to create an opera. They then cofounded the theatrical company Infinite Opera in order to create new and exciting work for new audiences to enjoy.
Since then they have produced many new operas and related works. They include:
The Flowering Desert
A surround sound immersive experience, with a tailor made music of the spheres, which puts the audience inside the mind of a scientist and the TRAPPIST-1 solar system. With live performers, stunning projections and celestial music
Entanglement! An Entropic Tale
A physics dissemination opera. The “Romeo and Juliet of particle physics” in which an Electron and Positron battle against Entropy to maintain their existence till the end of time.
Autohoodening: The Rise of Captain Swing
Roxanne worked with Infinite Opera and Post Worker’s Theatre to create a film about the plight of amazon workers and the rise of the 21st century Captain Swing.
Besse: Water, Rye, and Hops
